CLASSICAL music was stripped bare last night for the first concert in this year's RSNO's Naked Classics season.

Hundreds of music lovers were treated to a dynamic performance and innovative multimedia show of Beethoven's epic Eroica Symphony at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow.

Naked Classics, of which the Evening Times is a media partner, gives classical fans and first-time concert-goers, the chance to learn about top composers and some of their work.The concert was hosted by award-winning animateur Paul Rissmann, who in the first half, introduced the work and took the audience through the history of the Beethoven's life as well as the process of creating the work.

The complete Eroica Symphony was performed, with RSNO musical director Stéphane Denève, pictured top, conducting. The next performance in the season is Dvorák's New World Symphony on Thursday, March 15. For more details contact the Royal Concert Hall on 0141 353 8000.
