HAMILTON teenager James McCarthy was today named Clydes-dale Bank Premier League young player of the month for December.
And, as McCarthy picked up his award at New Douglas Park this morning, boss Billy Reid snapped up Old Firm youngsters Jordan McMillan and Paul McGowan on loan until the end of the season.
"Paul is young and hungry and that's the type of player we want," said Reid of the front man. "He has scored a lot of goals in the reserves and is desperate to prove himself in the SPL. We now hope to give him an opportunity and I'm sure Paul can come in and grab it with both hands.
"We're a club who give young players a chance and this is a fantastic platform for guys like Jordan and Paul. I've known Jordan since he was 12 and the defender has been at Rangers since he was 10.
"He's their reserve captain and I know they think highly of him."
