MOTHERWELL gaffer Mark McGhee is confident his side can end their three-game goal drought against Hibs at Fir Park on Saturday.

The shot shy Steelmen dropped to seventh place after their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Falkirk.

But McGhee said: "We'll be working hard in training to rectify the goals to chances ratio. It's not just a case of standing strikers in front of the goal and throwing balls at them. It's about movement among other things.

"I'm not going to bang on about missed chances against Falkirk because they mean nothing if you don't take them."

St Mirren starlet Stephen McGinn has admitted he'd gladly trade in the chance to claim an Old Firm goal scoring double if it meant the Buddies picked up three vital points against Celtic at Love Street.

Gus MacPherson's men have suffered three straight losses and though he bagged a winner against Gers in Paisley in October, McGinn only wants a victory.

He said: "The most important thing is not the goalscorer, it's that we do score and get something from the game.

"We want goals to come from all areas of the team. On Saturday against Celtic we have to believe we can win - it's the only way to play against the Old Firm. Stories in today's English papers...
