AIDEN McGEADY is already itching to get back involved in the Champions League next season - as Scottish champions for the fourth year running.
McGeady netted a wonder goal as Celtic rounded off their Group E campaign with a 2-0 win over a Villarreal team which had already qualified for the knockout stages.
And the match at Parkhead has given the winger, returning from a long injury lay-off, a taste of top flight European competition he wants to savour again soon.
Aiden said: "People can talk about us coming back, but first things first, we have to go and win the league to qualify.
"There is no point talking about the Champions League if we only finish second in the SPL.
"The gaffer said to us that a performance like this against Villarreal can stand us in good stead for the rest of the league campaign.
"If we had played like that against Aalborg at home then we might have got something in the group or reached the Uefa Cup."
He added: "Now we've not qualified for anything and that's disappointing. Obviously, the game didn't have the significance of the usual Champions League game, but there was pride at stake.
"We want to win every game and we wanted to keep our good home form going."
