MORTON striker James Grady has warned his new team-mates that they can't afford to look any further ahead than the next game.

The Ton head to Livingston buoyed by claiming back-to-back victories for the first time this term.

And Grady, who has made an immediate impact for Davie Irons' side after moving on-loan from Hamilton until December 31, has urged caution as the watchword for the Cappielow club.

He said: "Before I joined Morton on loan I had seen them four or five times at Cappielow and I knew that they had been really unlucky to lose most of these games.

"The quality of the player in the dressing room at Cappielow is geared for us to be at the other end of the first division table and hopefully, we are now on the way to achieving that.

"But we can't afford to look any further ahead than our next game with Livingston on Saturday. We are away from home and they are coming off a defeat at Clyde and for us the most important factor about the trip to Almondvale will be keeping a clean sheet."

The 37-year-old strike veteran says he is relishing the chance of regular football after failing to gain meaningful game time with Accies in the SPL.

Grady said: "I did everything I could to get myself into the first team at Accies, but my chances were few and far between so it is great to be at Morton and playing again.

"I don't want to look beyond the end of my loan deal on December 31. Things will take care of themselves in that regard and my focus is just on turning in a consistency of performance week-to-week.

"But I have been paired up front with Peter Weatherson and we have scored in the last two games and hopefully we have the makings of a partnership that can get a good few for Morton."
