HAMILTON strike ace Richard Offiong has singled out close mate Andy Dorman as the main danger to hopes of landing a post-Christmas KO on St Mirren.

The Welshman has struck twice in his last two games and Offiong has little doubt that Dorman must be shackled as Accies look to claim festive revenge for their defeat by the Buddies at New Douglas Park earlier this season.

But while a three- point haul for bottom side Hamilton would take them to within a point of Saints, Offiong admits his mates would take a share of the spoils.

He said: "St Mirren are going very well right now and my mate Andy Dorman is playing a major part in that, so he will take some watching tomorrow. But we know that if we can get a win then we would be just a point off them and so this is a massive game for both sides."

Offiong recently signed a new deal with Accies that will keep him at New Douglas Park until the end of season 2009/10 and admits he is relishing the chance to concentrate solely on his game.

He said: "Getting my contract situation sorted out for another year has given me peace of mind and it is allowing me to concentrate on just playing. I only have the four goals so far this season and I'd love the chance to end to the year with another.

"But St Mirren haven't conceded a goal in their last two games so they have tightened up of late and it will not be easy to get past them. That means it could come down to a single chance or so and it will be a case of who makes the most of that.

"But we got a massive result with the win over Motherwell last weekend and we have some confidence behind us going into this one. We just have to make sure we want it more than St Mirren."
