OVERTON United reached the final of the Andover Open Cup with a 4-0 win away at Andover New Street Swifts last night.

After weathering an early storm from the home side, Overton took the lead on 15 minutes, Ollie Bode firing home from the edge of the area after Danny Houseman had chested the ball down for him.

Houseman then added a second 10 minutes later, lobbing the goalkeeper after running onto Luke Nellor’s through-ball, while Nellor extended the lead further from a free-kick just before half-time.

Bode completed the scoring with his second goal of the game 15 minutes from time, Bode finding the top corner from 20 yards to round off an impressive team move.

Overton will face Stockbridge in the final next month, but before that, they face a trip to Bush Hill in the Hampshire Premier League on Saturday.
