TRON’S excellent form continued as they beat Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division One title rivals Lamb Inn 4-0 for the second time in three weeks.
Ross Cook scored twice, with David Parry and Jamie Ebsworth also on the scoresheet as Tron progressed in the North Hants Senior Cup, scoring a further psychological boost in the league campaign at the same time.
Republic of Chineham made their exit on penalties, losing 3-2 to Andover side Barton Stacey after the game had ended 1-1 at the end of extra-time.
FC Everest also travelled to Andover, taking on Swallow in the North Hants Chris Price Cup, but they travelled back up the A303 having booked their place in the next round with a 3-1 win.
Team FC did not fare so well in the North Hants John Ward Cup, losing 3-1 away at in-form Winchester side AFC Gecko.
