BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies lost by the odd goal in nine against visiting Parley Sports Ladies in the Southern League Premier Division.

The visitors took the lead after seven minutes and soon after Town’s Josette Pearmine shot just wide.

The home side level led things, as Lindsey Beverley scored with a shot from just outside the box.

Both Town’s Cara Mitchell and Beverley went close before their side took the lead thanks to Justine Morley.

Two minutes later the home side led 3-1 thanks to a nice solo strike from Sian Wylie.

The visitors pulled a goal back, but after Charlie Fry and Pearmine had fired wide, Beverley got another to make it 4-2 at the break.

After the interval Parley pulled a goal back and made it 4-4 with 20 minutes to play.

The visitors then grabbed the winner a minute from time.
