A stunning second half display from Saints, as they take West Ham apart. It's a first Premier League win for Ronald Koeman as the club's manager, and should send the team into the international break in great spirits. Thanks for joining us today. We'll have a report and reaction on the website for you shortly.
WEST HAM 1 SAINTS 3
Graziano Pellè scores his first Premier League goal and the third for Saints away against West Ham United.
WEST HAM 1 SAINTS 3 (Graziano Pelle 83)
That should - hopefully - do it. A really nice move from Saints down the right ends up with Adrian palming Nathaniel Clyne's ball across the face of goal into the path of Graziano Pelle, who finishes superbly with his left foot as the ball bounces in front of him.
Morgan Schneiderlin scores his second goal for Saints.
West Ham: Carlton Cole off, Enner Valencia on (79 mins)
Graziano Pelle booked for timewasting (79 mins)
CHANCE (78 mins): Dusan Tadic fakes to shoot from a free-kick, but instead plays a clever pass behind the West Ham wall to Graziano Pelle. The striker fires in a fierce near-post shot that Adrian beats away.
Dušan Tadić tussles for the ball.
Saints: James Ward-Prowse off, Jack Cork on (70 mins)
WEST HAM 1 SAINTS 2 (Morgan Schneiderlin 68)
Saints have been all over West Ham in this second half, and they finally get the breakthrough, with Schneiderlin on the scoresheet again. The hosts are completely asleep, as Dusan Tadic takes a short corner to James Ward-Prowse. He sends in a delivery to the near post that Schneiderlin is able to divert in.
Saints: Shane Long off, Gaston Ramirez on (66 mins)
Joey O'Brien booked for a heavy challenge on Dusan Tadic (62 mins)
West Ham: Mauro Zarate and Ricardo Vaz Te off. Ravel Morrison and Mohamed Diame on (58 mins)
CHANCE (58 mins): Saints have a goal ruled out for offside. James Ward-Prowse whips in a free-kick from the right that reaches Graziano Pelle at the back post, and he manages to knock the ball into the far corner. He is denied by the assitant referee's flag, though, with replays suggesting it was a very close call.
The moment Morgan Schneiderlin score the equaliser for Saints.
Aaron Cresswell cautioned for tripping Shane Long (57 mins)
CHANCE (52 mins): Saints looking far more threatening now they are level. Dusan Tadic sends in a cross from the left that finds Morgan Schneiderlin. He meets the ball on the bounce, but scoops his left-foot effort over from about ten yards out.
CHANCE (46 mins): Shane Long turns just outside the area and strikes a low, left-foot shot that Adrian does well to turn round his near post.
The second half is underway.
James Ward-Prowse battles against Mark Noble for the ball.
Nathaniel Clyne in action.
WEST HAM 1 SAINTS 1
WEST HAM 1 SAINTS 1 (Morgan Schneiderlin 45)
Saints win a free-kick wide on the left, with Dusan Tadic's delivery working its way to Schneiderlin at the back post. His angled strike is brilliantly blocked by a sliding Joey O'Brien, but the rebound falls to him and he calmly curls the ball into the far corner.
The crushing moment for Saints fans when Noble beat Forster.
CHANCE (41 mins): Dusan Tadic races away down the left and sends a low pass into the area that picks out Graziano Pelle, who found space in a central position. The striker fails to make any contact with his shot, though, allowing West Ham to clear.
Mark Noble celebrates his goal against Saints.
CHANCE (33 mins): James Ward-Prowse picks out the run of Dusan Tadic down the left, with the Serbian delivering a first-time cross that is deflected to Steven Davis just outside the edge of the area. The midfielder gets his shot wrong, though, and sends it well over the bar.
CHANCE (31 mins): Saints go close to an equaliser, as Dusan Tadic finds the overlapping run of Ryan Bertrand down the inside-left. The full-back stands up a cross to the far post that Graziano Pelle meets, but his header is cleared ooff the line by Aaron Cresswell.
WEST HAM 1 SAINTS 0 (Mark Noble 27)
After surviving a scare moments earlier, Saints do fall behind in the 27th minute. Morgan Schneiderlin is dispossessed in midfield by Mauro Zarate, with the ball diverting to Mark Noble. He fires in a 25-yard shot that clips the outstretched leg of Maya Yoshida and spins into the far corner, past the despairing dive of Fraser Forster.
CHANCE (22 mins): After Morgan Schneiderlin fouls Mauro Zarate 25 yards out, Stewart Downing hits a pretty poor free-kick that strikes the wall. West Ham get lucky, though, as the ball spins into the area and then ricochets to Ricardo Vaz Te six yards out. He looks set to roll it into the net, but Fraser Forster is just able to get a piece of his body onto it, diverting the ball inches wide of the far post.
CHANCE (16 mins): Saints continue to have control of the play, but chances have been hard to come by so far. Steven Davis tried his luck with a 25-yard effort, but sliced the ball well wide under pressure.
CHANCE (8 mins): Saints have started very well and have been dominating possession. They threatened in the sixth minute when Dusan Tadic delivered a beautiful cross from the left that just cleared the head of Graziano Pelle. After a flurry of corners, they nearly got caught, though, as West Ham broke away down the right. Stewart Downing had four men in space on the far side, but he could only pick out Nathaniel Clyne with his pass, and a great opportunity went begging for the hosts.
Referee Mike Dean gets the match underway.

The teams have just wrapped up their warm-ups for the match. Kick-off about ten minutes away now.
Graziano Pelle, Saints' summer signing from Feyenoord, will start up front this afternoon. He will have support from Shane Long, with the pair being thrown together for the first time in the Premier League. Saints manager Ronald Koeman believes it is a partnership that can flourish.
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has identified Dusan Tadic as one of the biggest threats to his side today. Writing in his programme notes, Allardyce had this to say...
One of Southampton's new signings, Dusan Tadic, is a player who was scouted by a number of Barclays Premier League clubs and he is very dangerous. He is able to create openings with his superb technical ability and will have to be very closely watched this afternoon.Sam Allardyce
The England squad for Wednesday's friendly against Norway and the Euro 2016 qualifier in Switzerland was announced this week. Saints keeper Fraser Forster was included, but there was no place for Nathaniel Clyne, despite a strong start to the season. The right-back had been close to earning a place on the reserve list for the World Cup, and many had expected him to be chosen by Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson for this latest round of matches. Clyne confirmed he was disappointed to miss out, but he remains hopeful a call-up will come one day.
Ronald Koeman starts Graziano Pelle and Shane Long together for the first time in the Premier League.

West Ham will have to overcome a number of injuries to key first-team players if they are to win today, meaning Saints will be hoping to take full advantage of their absentees. Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has admitted he has had to nurse a number of his players through training this week, in a bid to have them ready for today.

Saints are chasing their first Premier League win of the season, but they have tasted victory once already, having earned a 2-0 success in the second round of the Capital One Cup at Millwall on Tuesday. It was a night of firsts for the club, with both Jack Cork and Graziano Pelle opening their Saints goal accounts. Ronald Koeman is hoping for a repeat success in the capital today...
Again on the way by train to London! Where can I sign for the same result as last Tuesday!— @RonaldKoeman 29 August 2014
