It's a big night for 18-year-old Matt Targett, who makes his first-team debut for the club. The academy product is handed a start at left-back, in place of Ryan Bertrand.
Former Saints midfielder Richard Chaplow is in the starting line-up for Millwall tonight. The 29-year-old was a popular figure at the club, making 69 appearances and scoring nine goals in a spell that spanned from September 2010 until July 2013. He also had a short period on loan at St Mary's earlier in his career.
As promised, Ronald Koeman names a strong side for the trip to Millwall, making just three changes from the team that drew 0-0 with West Brom on Saturday. Matt Targett comes in at left back for Ryan Bertrand, while Lloyd Isgrove and Shane Long take the places of Dusan Tadic and Morgan Schneiderlin. For Millwall, there are nine changes from the team that lost 1-0 to Rotherham at the weekend.
