BASINGSTOKE Town will be looking to make it hat-trick of wins when they play host to Hayes and Yeading at the Soccer AM Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

This is the Dragons second Vanarama Conference South home fixture of the season. They lost the first on the opening day of the season against Hemel Hempstead.

They have been in super form winning at Bath 4-0 and then ending Bromley’s perfect start with a 3-0 victory in Kent as Manny Williams, Shaun McAuley and Chris Flood all scored.

Town manager Jason Bristow is keen for his side to continue their winning run and has a full squad to pick from for the Hayes and Yeading game.

Bristow said: “We looked at the Hemel game and we did not perform.

“We kept faith with the players and they have done really well since then.”

Former Liverpool defender Phil Babb is the man in charge at Hayes and they are one place below fourth placed Town after winning both their two games so far against Concord Rangers and St Albans.

Looking ahead to the match Bristow said: “We know it is going to be a tough game, but we are playing well and I want us to continue to focus on what we are doing as it is getting us results.”

The Dragons will have little time to rest after their game against Hayes as they travel to north Hampshire rivals Farnborough on Monday (kick-off 3pm).

Boro have not had a good start as they have lost their opening two fixtures and are away at Wealdstone on Saturday.

Despite their poor start Bristow is taking nothing for granted. He said: “They could win on Saturday and this will get their season up and running. With two games in the space of three days I will be looking to use all the squad and I am sure the players will respond.”
