READING forward Hal Robson-Kanu will miss the start of the Championship campaign after a late challenge during Tuesday night’s 0-0 friendly draw at League Two Stevenage.
In a game which saw many crunching challenges, Robson-Kanu was caught by Charlie Lee in the first 45 minutes and sustained a knee injury.
It was just the news manager Nigel Adkins did not want, with the Royals already missing Danny Guthrie, Stephen Kelly, Garath McCleary, Danny Williams and Jem Karacan due to injury.
Reading complete their pre-season campaign when they entertain Swansea at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
