9:31pm

Fleet Town 1-4 Basingstoke Town

9:30pm

88 - Argent's snapshot goes just wide.

9:27pm

86 - Fleet Town 1-4 Basingstoke Town - Craig Stanley

A move that began with Owusu being nutmegged by a central defender ends with a fantastic strike from CRAIG STANLEY, who beats Moore from the best part of 30 yards.

9:25pm

84 - Good work from Soares to release Bird again, but his low cross is cut out.

9:24pm

83 - Smart works space for a shot, but that's over the crossbar.

9:23pm

83 - Good play from Bird to dispossess a defender and his low ball in is just about cleared.

9:19pm

79 - Good play from Williams, but Johnson-Schuster can only fire over from the edge of the area.

9:18pm

78 - Good effort from distance from Nditi, but it's just wide.

9:18pm

77 - That should have been a Fleet goal, but their striker blasts well over when well placed.

9:17pm

76 - Great play from the Fleet captain, picking the ball up in midfield and driving forward before smashing a shot fractionally wide.

9:15pm

75 - Basingstoke Town - Nathan Smart on for Chris Flood

9:13pm

73 - Nditi has a pot shot from distance, attempting to lob the goalkeeper, but it's straight down his throat. Nice idea.

9:12pm

71 - Good feet from Flood sets up a shooting chance for Owusu. A lovely strike, but it arrows past the far post.

9:10pm

69 - Basingstoke Town - Louie Soares and Manny Williams on for Josh Drew and Junior Strassa

9:05pm

64 - Fleet Town 0-4 Basingstoke Town - Josh Drew

Some really slick passing around the area and Junior Strassa, who has been poor otherwise, finds Bird down the left wing. He pulls the ball back for JOSH DREW to slot home at the near post.

9:01pm

60 - A free-kick causes problems for Fleet, but the ball comes off Owusu's shoulder and Flood's shot is blocked.

8:59pm

59 - Another chance for Fleet as a cross from the left finds their striker in space, but his flick at goal is straight at Moore. A let-off for Town.

8:56pm

56 - Flood battles for the ball on the right before putting it across the six-yard box. Argent flicks the ball at goal, but the goalkeeper is equal to that.

8:54pm

54 - Fleet break and Moore is worried as the ball flies wide. Not so good from Town since half-time.

8:52pm

51 - Josh Drew lets fly from distance. Not far wide but the goalkeeper had it covered.

8:52pm

51 - Josh Drew lets fly from distance. Not far wide but the goalkeeper had it covered.

8:50pm

48 - A Fleet attacker almost gets in. Town just about deal with it.

8:46pm

Fleet get the second half started.

8:46pm

HT - Basingstoke Town - Robbie Rice, Tom Bird and Junior Strassa on for Jay Gasson, Andrew Jenkinson and Simon Dunn.

8:36pm

Looks like Town are planning to make a few changes at the break. Robbie Rice and Manny Williams are warming up properly.

8:31pm

An impressive first-half performance from Town, especially considering the number of players not involved so far.

8:30pm

Fleet Town 0-3 Basingstoke Town

8:28pm

43 - A lax pass by Stuart Moore has Town on the back foot, but the defence recover.

8:26pm

Not much has happened since the third goal went in. Town are in control, but Fleet are causing a few more problems.

8:14pm

30 - Fleet Town 0-3 Basingstoke Town - Sam Argent

That's a really good goal, made by Flood, who shows great feet to beat three men before unselfishly squaring for SAM ARGENT to slot home from 10 yards.

8:11pm

27 - Great skill from Nditi to work a shooting chance, but that is a long way over the crossbar.

8:09pm

24 - Sam Argent wins a corner and good movement from Flood earns him a free-header, but he can only nod over the crossbar.

8:07pm

Town remain right on top of their Southern League Division One opponents, creating a couple of half chances, keeping the ball well and playing at an excellent tempo.

8:02pm

15 - Fleet Town 0-2 Basingstoke Town - Julian Owusu

A hopeful ball forward and JULIAN OWUSU beats the onrushing goalkeeper to the ball before slotting into the empty net.

It's a first goal for the club for the forward, who signed last week.

8:01pm

The signal really is poor, but there have been a few chances since the goal.

Fleet should have levelled, but their forward dwelt on the ball in a good position, while Adam Nditi almost forced an own-goal at the other end. Town are well on top.

7:51pm

7 - Fleet Town 0-1 Basingstoke Town - Chris Flood

Dunn's perfect through-ball finds CHRIS FLOOD in behind the defence and he rounds the goalkeeper before slotting into the empty net.

7:50pm

5 - A nice move and it takes a well-timed challenge to stop Dunn getting through.

7:48pm

4 - Josh Drew forces the first corner of the match. It's taken short to Simon Dunn, but he fires well over the crossbar.

7:46pm

Town get the game under way. They are shooting down the hill, into the sun and away from me in the first half.

7:45pm

7:26pm

Not sure I'll get a team-sheet, so will have to let you know what the starting 11 is when the teams emerge.

I can say that Liam Enver-Marum, Shaun McAuley and Lloyd Macklin are not involved due to knocks, while David Ray and Alex Charlick also remain on the sidelines.

7:23pm

I have ended up level with the penalty area at the top end of the ground, which is on a slope. Fingers crossed the signal holds out, but the sun will be in my eyes.

7:21pm

Might be a struggle tonight. We are in the centre of Fleet, but the signal is appalling.

I've just walked all the way around the pitch looking for a sweet spot, but it doesn't seem there is one.

7:12pm

Good evening and welcome to live text commentary of Basingstoke Town's pre-season trip to Fleet Town.
