Saints boss Ronald Koeman has been linked with yet another of his former Feyenoord stars.

As previously reported, the Dutchman is supposedly interested in centre back Stefan De Vrij after already raiding the Rotterdam outfit for striker Graziano Pelle.

Now there are rumours that he will look to sign Netherlands international Jordy Clasie if current Saints star Morgan Schneiderlin exits for one of his supposed suitors -- Arsenal or Tottenham.

Although there has been no confirmed contact yet, Koeman apparently wants Clasie who was his captain at Feyenoord.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been dubbed ‘Dutch Xavi’ because of his passing ability and vision that is similar to the Barcelona star's style of play.

However Saints may face tough competition if they were to bid for Clasie.

Unsurprisingly, Clasie has been linked Manchester United after playing under new Old Trafford boss Louis Van Gaal at the World Cup in Brazil.  Liverpool have also been linked with the player.

The transfer speculation doesn’t end there, with the St Mary’s club linked with moves for two other midfielders.

Lazio’s Nigerian international centre midfielder Eddy Onazi is reported to be another one Koeman’s targets if Schneiderlin moves on.

The 21-year-old  appeared in all of the Super Eagles’ World Cup matches in Brazil and has since attracted attention from a number of Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, Manchester City, Everton, Liverpool and Spurs.

Norwich City’s Leroy Fer is another Dutch international to be tipped for a switch to the South Coast.

Fer moved to Carrow Road from FC Twente, where Saints signed Dusan Tadic from, last summer but after their relegation has been apparently been subject of interest from Premier League clubs.

He remains keen on a move back to the top-flight and might try and force a move through with QPR already having a bid rejected by the Canaries.

The 6ft2in 24-year-old midfielder exited Feyenoord just as Koeman was arriving in 2011.
