SAINTS boss Ronald Koeman has been linked with a move for another of his former Feyenoord stars.

Koeman recently signed striker Graziano Pelle from the Dutch club, and is now reportedly keen on centre half Stefan De Vrij.

The 22-year-old played in all seven of Holland's recent World Cup games, and would be an obvious replacement for wantaway Dejan Lovren.

Unsurprisingly. given he played in Brazil under Louis Van Gaal,  De Vrij has also been linked to Manchester United, who are also in the market for a centre half having lost both Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand in recent months.

Koeman has also been linked with Aston Villa's Dutch international centre half Ron Vlaar, who he sold for £3.2m to the Premier League club two summers ago during his time at Feyenoord.

Koeman is also reportedly keen on River Plate's £7m-rated striker Teófilo Gutiérrez.

The 29-year-old appeared for Colombia in the recent World Cup, and scored in a 3-0 win over Greece.

The player has only once played in Europe, spending a season with Turkish League club Trapzonspor in 2010/11.
