In addition to ensuring their safety, today's result moves Town up a place to 15th in the Conference South table.
A post-match interview with Basingstoke Town manager Jason Bristow can be seen by clicking here.
It was nervy towards the end, but Town's six-game winless run is over and they will definitely play in the Conference South next season.
Not a great display but Liam Enver-Marum was clinical. That's six goals in seven Town appearances for the striker.
Reaction to follow.
Basingstoke Town 3-2 Weston-super-Mare
90+3 - Town give the ball away in a bad area, but Diallo fires wide from the edge of the area.
90+1 - Basingstoke Town - Marcus Johnson-Schuster on for Louie Soares
Town will have to survive three minutes of added time.
88 - Ibe tries his luck from the edge of the area, but it's easy for Purnell.
84 - That's a nice free-kick routine, wasted by Ibe, who totally mis-hits a cross/shot.
82 - Basingstoke Town - Kezie Ibe on for Simon Dunn
82 - Liam Enver-Marum - Basingstoke Town
Enver-Marum goes into the book after hauling down a Weston defender in an attempt to get on the end of a ball in.
79 - That's a big chance for Enver-Marum to complete his hat-trick, but the striker fails to hit the target with a free-header.
78 - Weston-super-Mare - Bradley Ash on for Alec Fiddes
76 - Basingstoke Town 3-2 Weston-super-Mare - Callum Laird
Grubb's ball in from a free-kick on the right finds CALLUM LAIRD, who forces the ball home from close range. Game back on.
74 - Basingstoke Town - Manny Williams on for Nicholas Bignall
74 - Weston-super-Mare - Jake Llewellyn on for Martin Slocombe
73 - Weston go close to getting back in it. A low cross from the left evades Diallo at the near post and rolls across the face of goal before going out for a corner.
Kington fires way over from the resulting corner.
67 - Basingstoke Town 3-1 Weston-super-Mare - Liam Enver-Marum
A clearance is blocked and falls kindly for LIAM ENVER-MARUM, who is clean through. He makes no mistake, slotting the ball under Purnell to restore the two-goal cushion.
67 - Almost an embarrassing own-goal as Matthews' header loops towards his own goal, but McDonnell has time to get under the ball and catch.
65 - Weston-super-Mare - Syd Camper on for Chas Hemmings
63 - Good feet from Partridge and Adam Green is in down the left. He should square for Bignall but opts to shoot, straight at Purnell.
62 - Weston are looking far more likely. Town can't string two passes together at the moment.
Right-back Callum Laird has a shot from distance but it's way over.
57 - That's an important challenge from Gasson to prevent a Weston player getting a clear run on goal.
It's pretty awful at the moment. Both sides resorting to hopeful balls forward.
51 - Hemmings pulls down a long ball, with Matthews nowhere, but his attempted lob is miles over the Town goal.
49 - Another decent save from McDonnell after Kington is allowed to waltz into the area. The goalkeeper is down quickly, diving to his left.
48 - Good feet again from Dunn but he is crowded out after getting the return ball from McAuley.
Weston get the second half started.
The players make their way out for the second half.
Maidenhead are currently beating Ebbsfleet. If that stays the same, Town have to win today to ensure safety.
The hosts will be disappointed to have conceded so close to half-time, but Weston don't deserve to be two down. Nicely poised for the second half.
Town have not played as well as they did at Eastleigh on Friday, but they lead at the break. Not the same intensity, but they have taken more of their chances.
Basingstoke Town 2-1 Weston-super-Mare
45+1 - Basingstoke Town 2-1 Weston-super-Mare - Alec Fiddes
Weston are back in it. It's a fine strike from ALEC FIDDES from the edge of the area, but it was too easy for him to get into that position.
43 - Basingstoke Town 2-0 Weston-super-Mare - Shaun McAuley
A shot is blocked but the ball drops kindly for SHAUN McAULEY, who fires in from the penalty spot.
43 - A long ball puts Bignall in the clear, but the angle is against him and Purnell is down well to make the save.
42 - Weston should be level. Diallo beats Gasson for pace and that's good work from McDonnell, who saves with his legs.
Diallo picks up the rebound and pulls it back for Hemmings, who has an open goal but shanks his shot wide.
40 - Grubb's trickery leads to a shooting chance, but it's straight at McDonnell.
38 - McAuley's touch on the stretch sets up a counter attack for Town as Partridge makes ground.
He puts Soares through down the middle but Weston goalkeeper Purnell gets a touch on his shot, pushing it onto the crossbar. That's a good save.
33 - Robbie Matthews - Basingstoke Town
That's harsh. Matthews seemed to get the ball as he slid in on Grubb, but the referee awards a free-kick and books Matthews.
Matt Partridge is fortunate not to be penalised for kicking the ball into the prone Grubb as he lay on the ground.
Kington takes the free-kick, but his low effort is kept out by McDonnell, who had to get across his goal quickly.
31 - That's a terrible effort from McAuley. Scuffed wide with no power from the edge of the area.
30 - That's the bad side of Gasson. He overplays in his own half and the ball is nicked from him, but Alec Fiddes fires wide from the edge of the area.
28 - Weston play a corner to Ashley Kington on the edge of the area, but that's a long way over the crossbar.
24 - Weston break through Grubb but he fails to find a team-mate with a low ball in. Good defending from Gasson to stop Naby Diallo getting on the end of it.
23 - Town could have had a penalty there.
Soares beat several men down the left before teeing up Dunn. He nudged the ball beyond Purnell before being taken out by the visiting goalkeeper, but the referee awards a goal-kick.
Dunn never would have got to the ball, but he was caught late. Anywhere else on the field and that's a free-kick.
22 - Town have been on the back foot since going behind, surviving a couple of sticky moments in their own box.
McDonnall makes his first save of the afternoon, diving to his right to keep out Grubb's low effort.
15 - Basingstoke 1-0 Weston-super-Mare - Liam Enver-Marum
That's a lovely goal, made by Simon Dunn and scored by LIAM ENVER-MARUM.
Dunn took two Weston players out of the game with a lovely touch just inside his own half and ran at the defence before putting Enver-Marum in the clear.
He rounded the goalkeeper before slotting home from a narrow angle.
14 - That's a great ball from Enver-Marum to release Shaun McAuley down the Town right. He cuts in on his left foot but shoots over the bar.
11 - Good play by Enver-Marum down the left but his low shot is straight at Luke Purnell in the Weston goal.
9 - Weston have an even better chance. Dayle Grubb beats Smart down the left before crossing for Chas Hemmings, but the ball is just behind the striker, who can only head wide.
8 - That's a chance though. Nathan Smart's low ball in finds Enver-Marum, but his first touch makes the angle too acute and his pull-back finds nobody.
Looks like we could be in for a long afternoon. Very poor fare so far. No intensity or tempo from either side.
3 - That's a pretty bad challenge from Nicholas Bignall, who gets a ticking off from referee Mark Pottage.
2 - Town break through Enver-Marum, but Louie Soares' cross is over everyone in the box.
Town get the game under way. They will shoot down the slope, towards the Town End of the ground, in the first half.
SUPPORTERS' PLAYER OF THE YEAR
A bit of a shock as the award goes to Jay Gasson. Congratulations.
The players make their way out on to the pitch ahead of kick-off.
Before the game, there will be a couple of presentations. The supporters' player of the award will be presented by Peter Raynbird and club legend Nigel Mattock.
I'll be amazed if David Ray doesn't win.
There will also be a cheque presentation made to mascot Stokie the Dragon, who recently ran the London Marathon.
Classic April day. Sunshine and showers. There was a lot of rain yesterday, but the pitch is fine.
Right, time to make my way up to the press box ahead of kick-off.

Have your day on today's game, and all things Basingstoke Town, by using the comment box below or #bstoketown.
The good news for Town is that today's visitors have very little to play for now. They are 12th in the table, safe but with no chance of making the play-offs.
Weston have been something of a bogey side for Town in recent years. They have come out on top the last five times the sides have met in league and FA Cup.
Weston won 1-0 when they met in Somerset on Bank Holiday Monday back in August, and knocked Town out of the FA Cup at the Camrose the following month, beating them 2-1.
Just noticed a third change to the Town side. Andrew Jenkinson is ill and misses out, so Adam Green returns at left-back.
Basingstoke Town: McDonnell, Smart, Green, Partridge, Gasson, Matthews, Soares, McAuley, Enver-Marum, Bignall, Dunn. Subs: Daly, Adams, Williams, Ibe, Johnson-Schuster.
Weston-super-Mare: Purnell, C Laird, Slocombe, Trowbridge, J Laird, Knowles, Fiddes, Diallo, Hemmings, Kington, Grubb. Subs: Walker, Llewellyn, Ash, Camper, Irish.
Two changes to the Town team that started at Eastleigh.
As mentioned earlier, McDonnell replaces Wells in goal. Liam Enver-Marum's reward for his late strike is a starting berth, with Manny Williams dropping to the bench.
Results on Saturday mean that Town could secure safety today. A win, or a defeat for Maidenhead, and they will be safe.
Some reasonably good news regarding Town goalkeeper Louis Wells, who had to be taken off on a stretcher at Eastleigh on Friday.
It doesn't look like he will be around to play any of the remaining games of the season, but his leg isn't broken.
Joe McDonnell will don the gloves today, having been recalled from a loan spell at Hendon.
Good afternoon and welcome to live text coverage of this afternoon's game between Basingstoke Town and Weston-super-Mare at the Camrose.
