OVERTON United warmed for tomorrow night’s Hampshire Intermediate Cup semi-final at Baffins Milton Rovers with a 2-1 win at Bournemouth Sports on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead after 12 minutes after Ben Dibbern picked the ball up 10 yards inside his own half and skipped past a couple of tackles before he unleashed a great drive from 30-yards out.

Myles Englefield came close to grabbing a second with a lob, before the home side levelled on half hour mark from a goal mouth scramble.

However, Overton were not to be denied the win and after Jordan Grant had been pulled back just outside the area.

The visitors won the game with the free-kick as Dave Parr bent the ball around the wall, Manager Titch Bloomfield said: “It is going to be a tough game at Baffins, but we don’t want to lose a second semi-final. Everyone is up for the game after Saturday’s win.”
