Match reaction and with Jason Bristow ill, assistant Michael Gilkes was in charge and he said: "it is a disappointing end to the game, but this is the first time the floodlights have failed here.
"We made a few changes from the Farnborough game and we looked better and created a lot chances, but went in at the break trailing. We were looking to put this right in the second-half, but then the lights went out."
The game has been abandoned after 49 minutes. A bit of a shame as it was an entertaining game. A shame also after all the hard work getting the game on.
Still working on the lights they hope to turn them on in five minutes. Some of the Town players are on the pitch having a kick about.
The players have left the field as the lights need to cool down and will not be turned on again for 10 minutes.
Five minutes into the second-half and the floodlights on the Harry Mizen Stand side of the game brings the game to a halt.

Entertaining first 45 minutes with Town have the most chances, but trail to a Wooden goal. Ben Wright is having a quite game after joining from Salisbury. Louie Soares on his first start is looking lively and Basingstoke are certainly not out of ths game.

A cross in from Dunford from the left and glancing header from Wooden goes over Adams and Wells and ends up in the net.
Rory Williams forces a save and Gasson nearly puts the ball into his own net, but is able to clear. the centre-half is having an excellent game.

Dunn is carried off and is replaced by Holder-Spooner on 33 minutes.
Poate is booked after over reacting to a challenge on Town's Dunn by Forbes.
