Basingstoke Town 2 Gosport Borough 1
That's two wins from two games for Town, which is a good start in anyone's book.
Not a classic tonight, it was about grinding out a win. There were some nervous moments but they did it.
See Thursday's Gazette for a full report and all of the reaction to tonight's game.
Robbie Rice - Basingstoke Town
Rice is booked for a foul just outside the area, Town just about surviving the resulting free-kick.
Robbie Matthews - Basingstoke Town
Matthews is booked for kicking the ball away.
Now it's Lee Molyneaux's chance to shoot from distance but it's straight at Louis Wells. Town just can't get hold of the ball.
There will be at least four minutes of injury time for Town to survive here.
Another shot from distance for the visitors, this time Paul Hinshelwood firing well over.
SUBSTITUTION - Basingstoke Town - Andrew Jenkinson on for Kezie Ibe (87 min)
Jamie Brown fires over from distance. It's not backs to the wall, but the hosts are under pressure here, with Gosport camped in their half.
SUBSTITUTION - Gosport Borough - Daniel Williams on for Daniel Wooden (82 min)
Sam Pearce takes the set-piece. It's well hit but over the crossbar.
Nathan Campbell - Basingstoke Town
That's a lunging tackle in a bad area. Town are on the back foot and have a dangerous free-kick to defend in a central area 30 yards out.
Jamie Brown - Gosport Borough
A free header for Gosport's Justin Bennett 10 yards out, but he fails to make the most of it. A decent opening. Town looking shaky at the back.
Jay Gasson does just enough to stop Rory Williams getting a clean shot away as he runs down the left.
DOUBLE SUBSTITUTION - Gosport Borough - Andy Forbes and Thomas Dunford on for Sammy Igoe and Daniel Smith (75 min)
Wes Daly - Basingstoke Town
A tactical foul from the Town midfielder to stop the visitors breaking.
Town work the ball well around the Gosport area, with Kezie Ibe laying if off for Robbie Matthews, who forces a decent save out of Nathan Ashmore.
The resulting corner causes problems, with Nathan Campbell's header almost sneaking in before being forced behind.
Justin Bennett is afforded way too much time 25 yards out and his shot is not far wide.
A deep corner from Manny Williams and David Ray is just beaten to the ball at the far post.
SUBSTITUTION - Basingstoke Town - Nathan Campbell on for Neil Barrett (63 min)
A straight swap in the middle of the park, with the more defensively minded Campbell there to tighten things up.
Another good move leads to a shot from Wes Daly, but it's too close to the goalkeeper.
That's Town's best move of the match. They kept the ball on the ground and worked a chance for Adam Green. It's a good effort from a tricky angle, not too far over the crossbar.
Robbie Rice's ball into the area finds the head of Robbie Matthews. His flick falls to Kezie Ibe, who just fails to lift the ball over the goalkeeper. He was offside in any case.
A real chance for Gosport as Rory Williams gets past Jay Gasson and fires at goal. Louis Wells beats the shot away and Town just about survive.
Sammy Igoe - Gosport Borough
Igoe is booked for a foul in midfield.
The game is opening up a bit and Town are starting to pass it well, with Wes Daly finding pockets of space. He's just going too much for the Hollywood ball at the moment.
Good work by Robbie Matthews on the right wing. His cross finds Manny Williams at the near post but he cannot get his header on target.
Another chance for Gosport scorer Jamie Brown. He gets behind the defence running from midfield but his angled shot lacks the power or direction to beat Louis Wells.
Town get the second half under way.
The players are out for the second half.
Basingstoke Town 2 Gosport Borough 1
A hard half to sum up. Town opened the scoring against the run of play, did well to add a second and then let in a sloppy one.
They haven't really managed to get the passing going so far, but there have been a few moments of quality.
There will be two added minutes at the end of the half.
A bit of panic in the Town area, with Robbie Rice making a good clearance to get it out for a corner. The flag-kick is only cleared as far as Rory Williams, who blasts well over from distance.
Almost a third for the hosts as Nathan Ashmore's stray clearance finds only Manny Williams. He attempts to lob the rapidly backpeddalling goalkeeper from 40 yards but the ball drops wide.
Apologies for the delay there folks. Had a few technical issues. Hopefully they are sorted now. You're up to date anyway.
Close for the hosts as Simon Dunn lets fly from just outside the area. It's a good low shot that forces Nathan Ashmore into a decent save diving to his right.
Basingstoke Town 2 Gosport Borough 1 - Jamie Brown (28 min)
I thought it was going too well - and that's a poor goal to concede. It's like Town's first in that the ball is bouncing around in the area and JAMIE BROWN holds off Adam Green to beat Louis Wells from close range.
Lee Molyneaux - Gosport Borough
Molyneaux was also booked for the foul that gave away the penalty.
Basingstoke Town 2 Gosport Borough 0 - Manny Williams pen (25 min)
Kezie Ibe is played in down the right channel, where he is brought down by Lee Molyneaux. It was right on the edge of the area but the referee points to the spot and MANNY WILLIAMS fires an excellent penalty into the corner of the net.
Gosport have a couple of half-chances, with Sam Pearce putting an overhead kick well over and Justin Bennett shooting straight at Louis Wells from distance.
The goal was a little harsh on Gosport, who started brightly, but it seems to have settled the hosts down.
Basingstoke Town 1 Gosport Borough 0 - Robbie Matthews (7 min)
That's the perfect start for the hosts. Gosport fail to clear their lines, the ball bounces around in the area and ROBBIE MATTHEWS volleys home from 10 yards to open the scoring.
Town have made a bit of a sluggish start and Gosport could easily have taken the lead there. A cross came in from the right and Michael Gosney got up above Robbie Rice at the far post. He should have scored and Town must be mighty relieved to see his header find the side netting.

Gosport get the game under way. They must have lost the toss as they are shooting towards the Clubhouse End, into the sun, in the first half.
As you may or may not have noticed, I missed the trip to Concord Rangers on Saturday.
I was in Paris. In fact, on Saturday morning, I paid 12 Euros to visit the Louvre, where I saw, among other things, the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo.
What will the people of Basingstoke get to see for a similar price tonight?
We're about to find out as the teams are out ready to start.
The sun is just setting in time not to be a massive problem, but I suspect the side winning the toss will chose to shoot towards the Town End of the ground.
The pitch looks in great shape. Will Town play the passing game Jason Bristow has been looking to culture in pre-season?
Basingstoke Town: Wellls, Rice, Green, Barrett, Gasson, Ray, Daly, Dunn, Matthews, Williams, Ibe. Subs: McAuley, Adams, Campbell, Jenkinson, Smart.
Gosport Borough: Ashmore, Hinshelwood, Martin, Brown, Molyneaux, Pearce, Igoe, Smith, Williams, Bennett, Gosney. Subs: Wooden, King, Dunfold, Forbes, Barfoot.
Just one, enforced, change to the Town team who beat Concord Rangers, Kezie Ibe coming in for Jordace Holder-Spooner, who dislocated his shoulder on Saturday and may be out for as much as three months.
Gosport feature a host of former Havant players, including ex-Reading man Sammy Igoe, and in Michael Gosney they possess possibly one of the best wingers in non-league football. Former Town striker Andy Forbes in on the bench.
Good evening and welcome to live updates from the Camrose, where Basingstoke Town are hosting Gosport Borough in their first home game of the new season.
