TADLEY Calleva’s promotion plans suffered a major setback as they lost 10-3 to bottom-of-the-table Chineham in a remarkable Basingstoke and District League Division One game.
Steve Aldridge gave Tadley an early lead, but they were hit by goals from Russell Smith, Nick Saunders and two from Leon Dolton before Tyrone Aldridge made it 4-2.
Further goals from Smith and Dalton came before the break and Saunders went on to complete a hat-trick, while Smith got four. Matt Buckle was Tadley’s other scorer.
There were also Division One wins for North Warnborough, Herriard and Welly Old Boys Reserves, while AFC Berg, Aldermaston, Overton United A and Basingstoke Athletic all picked up victories in Division Two.
