WELLY Old Boys' Basingstoke and District League Premier Division title hopes suffered a setback as they were held by visiting Sherborne St John on Saturday.

Joint Welly manager Dean Sawyer felt it was definitely two points dropped, especially as Ben Nicholls headed firmly past Dan Poynton to give Welly the lead.

Sherborne equalised with 15 minutes left. A corner by Steve Price was not dealt with and in steamed Matt Livingstone to put away the chance.

In other Premier Division action, Hook beat Heathpark 10-0, while Tron won 5-1 at home to Bramley United.
