AFTER more than five years away from the Camrose, David Ray has returned to Basingstoke Town.

The right-sided player joined Town as a 16-year-old, making 236 appearances and scoring 19 goals over the course of five seasons before leaving to join Bognor Regis in 2007.

Now 28, he has since played for Carshalton and has now rejoined Town on a non-contract basis until the end of the season.

He will be available for tonight's Blue Square Bet South trip to Hayes and Yeading United.
