Tron storm to victory in county cup

BASINGSTOKE Saturday League side Tron booked their place in the Hampshire Junior A Cup fourth round with a 5-2 victory over Whitecroft and Barton Sports on the Isle of Wight.
They led in the second minute as Serge Holland headed home Peter Amps’ corner. Chris Laversher made it 2-0 with near post finish on six minutes after Dave Parry and Holland combined.
James McCallian hit the post but, on the half-hour mark, Amps pulled a ball back for Laversher to score.
The home side netted just after the break, but Laversher completed his hat-trick with chip from Aaron Barber-Hill’s pass.
Holland also hit the bar with a penalty before sub Scotty Winterbourne converted Amps’ cross. The Islanders scored their second on time.
