OLLIE Owen’s hat-trick helped reigning Basingstoke and District Sunday League champions North Warnborough win 4-2 at Basingstoke Sports and Social.
Owen opened the scoring as he cut in from the left and buried the ball right-footed into the net. The home side equalised with a breakaway opportunity from Andy Butler.
Later in the first half, Owen was brought down in the box, but the visitors missed the penalty.
Sports and Social then hit the crossbar and from the rebound ’Borough took the ball up the other end and scored.
The home side strived to retain their unbeaten league record and pressed hard, playing well and moving the ball around, but the visitors made the most of their chances as Owen completed his hat-trick and their other goal came from Andy Parker.
Overton United drew 1-1 with visiting CI, with substitute Michael Bury putting the home side ahead before Paul Adams equalised.
Republic of Chineham won 3-2 at AC Marstons.
