RAMSDELL made sure of promotion from Hampshire League County Division Four North as they finished second after a 178 run victory over Medstead.

The Rams recovered from 118-4 with an unbroken fifth wicket partnership worth 146 runs between Tom Holbrook 94 and Nick Bellamy 57.

This helped them finish on 262-4. Medstead never got close as they were then bowled out for 78 as Dave Simpson returned 4-14 from 6.1 overs.

Overton (123) were fifth after losing to IBM Hursley by 92 runs, Oakley without a game on the last weekend came sixth.

Old Basing (115-9) came seventh as Wherwell beat them by 121 runs.

Basingstoke and North Hants III (277-8) as Mandeep Sharma top scored with 90 and then bowled Rowledge III out for 79 to finished tenth.

AWE Tadley bowled out Alton III for 61 as Omair Kiani returned figures of 10-3-11-5, while Nick Hynard took 4-20. Earlier Tadley made 120-8 and the win saw them finish 13th.

Two places below them were Whitchurch (165) who lost by 122 runs to St Cross IV.

Odiham and Greywell were crowned champions of Division Three North after second placed Littleton lost their final game.

Hartley Wintney II (222-7) won at OT’s and Romsey III as Rex Porter scored 75 and Seb Waddington took 4-29. The victory left them 11th and Hook (177) finished three places below them as losing by one wicket to Steep as Luke Burgess took 3-37.

Old Basing came ninth in Division Two after losing by two wickets at Sway.

Ellingham forfeited their final game of the season against Basingstoke and North Hants III, who finished 13th.

Hook slipped from fourth to sixth in Division One after thy lost by 134 runs to visiting Promotion chasing Lymington II.

Hook's Liam Shore took 3-35 in Lymington’s 246-9 and then Hook were then bowled out for 112.
