JACK Robson scored 85 as Hook and Newnham Basics beat visiting OTs and Romsey II by five wickets in the Hampshire League County Division One, as they passed the visitors 216.

Darren Turner took 4-40, but it was all in vain as Old Basing were bowled out for 133 chasing Bedhampton’s 244-9 in Division Two.

Andy Giles hit 93 for Basingstoke and North Hants III’s 211-7, but they lost by five wickets to Locksheath, even if Jake Fincken took 3-63.

There was better luck in Division Three North East as Kyran Munt’s 82 helped Odiham and Greywell to 229-8 as they beat M & T by 19 runs.

Rajeev Nair (103) and James Philpott (55) put on 146 for the first wicket for Hartley Wintney, but they were then bowled out for 262, losing by 11 runs to Tichborne as Tom Soper took 4-48.

Hook III went down by 56 runs at Liss (230), despite Andy Hook’s 4-21.

A great spell of bowling from Ramsdell’s Mike Lerigo (10-6-8-3) saw Basingstoke IV bowled out for 172. Tom Holbrook then scored 86 not out as Rams won by seven wickets on Division Four North.

Oakley’s Tom Barnes and Brad Compton-Bearne reduced Overton to 22-6, as they were all out for 96 as they lost by five wickets.

AWE Tadley (183-7) went down by 56 runs to Rowledge III (239-9) and Whitchurch (119) lost to IBM Hursley (122-4).
