St Cross found batting much more difficult, being dismissed for 145 to give the basement side a much-needed victory.

Ali Mumtaz starred with the ball to ensure that Hobos remain on course for promotion after beating hosts Flamingo by 146 runs.

Ben Hardy top-scored with 61 as the visitors made 202, but Mumtaz then took 7-10 as Flamingo were dismissed for 56.

Hook and Newnham Basics III sit fourth after beating visitors Overton by 49 runs.

Joe Allnutt hit 47 as the hosts reached 201, but that proved to be enough, thanks largely to Jack Campbell, who took 5-34 as Overton were dismissed for 152.

Hartley Wintney II bowled hosts Littleton and West Hill out for 142 on their way to an eight-wicket victory.

Hook and Newnham Basics II are back down to fourth in Division One after losing by 36 runs away at unbeaten leaders Fair Oak.

It was bad news all-round in Division Two, with both Basingstoke and North Hants III and Old Basing losing.

Old Basing slipped to fifth in the table after going down by 96 runs at United Services.

The hosts made 236-4 and Basing were bowled out for 140 in reply.

Basingstoke were bowled out for 125 by Petersfield, a total they were unable to defend as the home side got over the line to win by five wickets.

Tom Trinder hit 77 and Richard Osmond made 59 as the home side amassed 237-4 before bowling their guests out for 124.

Oakley put up a good fight but were unable to come away from Dinton with a win.

Batting first, the hosts posted an imposing total of 288-4, but the Oakley reply began really well, Scott Bright and Darrel Diamond putting together an opening partnership of 100.

However, paramedic Diamond had to retire on 57 in order to get to work for a night shift and while Bright made 73, the visitors were restricted to 223-9 in reply, losing by 65 runs.
