JOSHUA Coombs hit an unbeaten 84 as Basingstoke and North Hants V remain top of the Regional Division Three North, after five wicket win over Hungerford II.

Coombs along with Alastair Case (33) shared 95 for the fifth wicket in the win, after Hungerford II were all out for 187 as Gary Watts took 3-67.

Julian Ford batting at number seven hit a superb 114 not out as Hartley Wintney III moved up to fifth after 97 run win over AWE Tadley II. Angus Brown (66) also scored well as Hartley made 234-9 and Steve Fancey took 3-75. Opener Calum Saint made 55, but Tadley were bowled out for 137 as Thomas Millward (3-22) and Graham Selden (3-24) did most of the damage.

Thruxton forfeited their game at Herriard II, while Overton (108) were beaten by six wickets by Oakmount.

Whitchurch are up to second in Regional Division Four North East after a 24 run win over Tichborne Park.

The home side made 258-7 thanks to Jack Dancer (55) and Tom Trinder (56).

Martin Hutchins made 39 at number eight as Ashford Hill II were all out for 119, as they lost by eight wickets to Compton.

Kingsclere (127) lost by 33 runs to visiting Stockbridge. Steve Dummer made 60 not out as Sherfield-on-Loddon made 170-4 as they tried to chase down Penton’s 219-4.

Paul Buckingham hit 68 as Rotherwick ITW reached 195-7, but Donnington won by four wickets.

Silchester cruised to victory in Regional Division Two North as they made 249-2 and then bowled Upper Clatford out for 65.

Oakley II beat East Woodhay by four wickets as George Lethaby’s 46 helped them to 206-6 after the visitors were restricted to 202-5.

Odiham and Greywell II (128-6) moved up to fifth just behind Silchester, after a four wicket home win over Herriard.

The visitors were bowled out for 127, as Ben Read (4-41) and Bruce Applin (3-36) got amongst the wickets.

Overton II (118) lost by two runs away at Compton.
