TEENAGER Josh Weir scored his maiden century as he helped Old Basing II to a 55-run victory over visiting Sherfield-on-Loddon, in the Hampshire League Regional Division One North.

The 16-year-old scored an unbeaten 115 and shared an opening partnership of 163, with Arcot Venkat 65.

This helped Old Basing to 234-4 and Sherfield were then bowled out for 179 Rotherwick ITW reeled off a crushing nine wicket win at Amport as they home side were bowled out for 96.

Philip Mitchell (4-28) did most of the damage with the ball and then Ian Finlayson was unbeaten on 40 as Rotherwick reached 97-1.

Kingsclere’s game at Over Wallop was abandoned.

Old Basing III went top of Regional Division Two North, after crushing 242-run win at Aldershot IV.

S Vanset 134 and Sid Sengupta 101 helped the visitors to 290-4 and then the home side were dismissed for 48.

Silchester (127-1) cruised to a nine wicket over East Woodhay (126-7).

Hook IV won against OTs and Romsey by 156 runs, after they posted 228.

Matt Taylor (82 not out), Rupert Armstrong (46) and Mike Dyer (44) all did well with the bat. Romsey were then bowled out for 72.

Brad Compton scored an unbeaten 120 to help Oakley II (171-4) to a six wicket win over Compton (167-8).

St Mary’s (162-9) lost by 21 runs to Littleton II (183-5), while Overton II had a week off.

Basingstoke and North Hants Vs went to the top of Regional Division Three North after a 100 run victory over visiting Oakmount.

Garfield Coombs (87) helped the home side to 229 and then Gary Watts produced the best of the week bowling 7-30 as Oakmount were bowled out for 129.

AWE Tadley II won by four wickets at Sparsholt III, as the home side were all out for 98.

Chris Benning (4-17) and Michael Robertson (3-18) were the chief wicket takers and then Ram Patel's 41 not out helped Tadley to a winning total of 102-6.

Daniel Bowles scored an unbeaten 106 in Hartley Wintney III's winning total of 174-9.

This was despite a fine performance from Ramsdell II's Colin Dwyer with 5-42.

The visitors then made 122-9, as Angus Brown 3-36 was the top home bowler.

Overton III won at Herriard II by 21 runs as Dave Thompson scored 114 in their winning score of 218-6, as Gareth Cloutt took three wickets for the home side.

Herriard replied with 197-9, as Jonty Spaull (4-32) was the chief wicket taker.

Hook and Newnham Basics V continue to reign at the top of Regional Division Four North East, after their latest victory at Crown Traverners II.

The visitors batted first and scored 263-7 with Vinny Gardner (77) and Oliver Harrison-Brown (67) top scoring.

Crown Traverners reached 158-9 in reply as Will Wyatt returned 3-35.

Ashford Hill II moved up to second in the table, after a 107 run win over Odiham and Greywell III, who were second going into the weekend.

Grant Good led the way for Ashford with 130, which included 15 fours and four sixes.

He was well supported by Kevin Perry (47) and Daniel Hyland (41 not out) as Hill scored 279-4.

Odiham were bowled out for 172 as Jamie Read (48) and Jontie Sebborn (44) led the reply for the visitors.

Whitchurch II moved up to fourth, after winning by 214 runs after they bowled Froxfield for 63.

Jim Haywood scored an unbeaten 120 in Whitchurch's winning score of 227-6.
