SIMON Grant hit a century and took three wickets as Sherfield-on-Loddon beat visiting Farley by 30 runs in Hampshire Cricket League Regional Division One North.

Grant made 108 as the hosts reached 266-6 before taking 3-38 as Farley were bowled out for 236. Chris Swift also took three wickets.

Oakley slipped a place to second in the table despite thrashing visiting St Cross Symondians V by nine wickets. Clive Welsman took 5-26 as St Cross were dismissed for 93, a total that Adam Robinson almost surpassed on his own, hitting 82 not out to take his side to victory.

Ashford Hill sit third after beating Kingsclere in a derby at the Fieldgate Centre. Pete Newton made 50 as Ashford Hill reached 204-9, with Chris Hanney taking 3-37, while Newton and Robert Field both took three wickets as the hosts were bowled out for 110 to lose by 94 runs.

Ramsdell beat visiting Odiham and Greywell in a low-scoring game. Jean-Pierre Kustner made 68 as Odiham were bowled out for 138, with Callum Holland taking four wickets and Dave Monger bagging three.

Dave Simpson made an unbeaten 86 to guide Ramsdell to an eight-wicket victory.

Basingstoke and North Hants IV and Herriard both suffered defeats.

Nigel Watts took 6-68 for Basingstoke, but visiting Shrewton II reached 232-9 and the hosts went down by 67 runs after being restricted to 165-9.

Herriard were unable to defend their all-out total of 110 at Winterbourne, losing by five wickets despite Tom Moore taking 3-15.

Struggling St Mary’s picked up a rare win in Division Two North, beating visiting Langley Manor III by 24 runs.

Off-spinner Veeru Pokala was the match winner, taking 7-11 as Langley Manor were dismissed for 102 chasing St Mary’s score of 126.

Odiham and Greywell II enjoyed a much more comfortable victory, beating visiting Liphook and Ripsley III by 112 runs. Liam Schooling made 82 and Zrar Moonhood 57 as Odiham reached 209, while Chris and Tom Wiltshire both took three wickets as Liphook were dismissed for 97.

Rotherwick ITW lost by four wickets away at Upper Clatford, failing to defend their all-out total of 122 despite Adam Cordery taking 4-24.

Hartley Wintney III had a dramatic victory over hosts Aldershot IV in Division Three North East. Defending 145, Graham Selden took three wickets for Hartley, but the match went down to the wire, with the final Aldershot wicket falling with their score on 144, giving the visitors a one-run win.

Silchester are third in the table after beating visiting Ramsdell II by nine wickets, Lee Jones taking 5-6 as the Rams were bowled out for just 69.

Hook and Newnham Basics IV are just behind them in fourth following a seven-wicket win over local rivals Old Basing III. Visiting Basing were bowled out for 123 and Nick Harding (64) and James Peacock (57) both made half-centuries as Hook got home with ease.

Steve Kent made 77 and Neil Butler 62 as Overton II reached 200-8 at Compton and Chandlers Ford III, while Andy Gould took 4-21 as the hosts were restricted to 126-9 in reply, giving the visitors a 74-run win.

Jack Lake hit 70 as Basingstoke and North Hants V reached 259-7 at Easton and Martyr Worthy II. A 142-run victory was completed when the hosts were dismissed for 117.

Struggling Overton III enjoyed a rare win. Matthew Bown took 3-45 as visiting Holybourne II reached 242-8, but Phillip Hoare hit 97 and Tony Glass 57 as the home side claimed a four-wicket victory.

Bottom side Herriard II were beaten by 20 runs at home to Colden Common II. Ian Butler took 6-26 as the visitors were bowled out for 127, but 10-man Herriard could only muster 107.

Oakley II are top of Division Four North East after beating hosts AWE Tadley II by six wickets.

Lewis Maton hit 50 as AWE reached 190, but Michael Wood claimed a hat-trick on the way to figures of 5-25, while Lance van Dyk took three wickets. The Oakley reply was led by Chris Morris, who hit 93 to help his side to victory.

Odiham and Greywell III are second after a five-wicket win over Longparish III. Andy Stenning took 5-24 as hosts Longparish were restricted to 163-9 and Odiham reached their reduced target of 94 for the loss of five wickets.

Third-placed Ashford Hill II were without a game after visitors Crown Taverners II were unable to raise a side, while Whitchurch II went down by 100 runs at home to Hungerford II, being bowled out for 128 chasing 228-8.
