THIRTEEN wins was certainly not unlucky for Silchester as the Hampshire League Regional Division One North East champions wrapped their season with another victory.

It complete a perfect season for the side with Easton and Martyr Worthy II the last side to be beaten by them.

Silchester batted first and scored 149 in their final game of the season and then limited Easton to 143-8.

Ashford Hill (220-6) finished fourth after an 18-run success at Bishop’s Waltham III (186-8).

Matthew Pedley (60) and Jack Ballard (53) did well with bat, while Ben Osborne (3-38) and Steven Peters (3-34) excelled with the ball.

Old Basing III had to settle for fifth spot after a three wicket success at East Woodhay II, after they bowled then out for 174.

Kingsclere without a game on the last weekend of action left them sixth.

Odiham and Greywell II came tenth after a 102 run victory at Ropley II, who they bowled out for 126.

Overton II (183-7) finished one place below them, after a three wicket win at Bentworth.

Sherfield on London (119) lost to Fair Oak by 110 runs so had to settle for 13th.

Rotherwick ITW finished their season on high as they bowled Holybourne out for 78, going onto win by eight wickets.

The victory left them 15th in the final table.
