RAMSDELL moved to the top of the Hampshire League County Division Four after they beat Oakley by 46 runs.

The Rams scored 250-7, as Tom de Boinville (57) led the way with the bat and Paul Burrows hammered four sixes in a quick fire 33.

Jimmy Bright led the Oaks replay with 48, Stef Edirisinghe (3-44) and Tom Holbrook (3-51) made sure of the win as the visitors finished on 204-9.

Former leaders Overton slipped from top spot to third, despite winning by 34 runs against visiting Longparish II, this is because they only amassed 18 points from the game.

The home side were bowled out for 94 as Henry Deacon hit a match winning 41.

The visitors were then shot out for 60, with only one player making it into double figures.

Old Basing II (112-8) won by two wickets as visiting Rowledge III were bowled out for 111.

Basingstoke and North Hants IV (138-3) also enjoyed a victory as they enjoyed a seven wicket success at Castle Field over Medstead.

Rowan Simpson did the damage with ball taking 5-25 as the visitors were bowled out for 137.

Joshua Coombs with an unbeaten 57 steered the Bountymen to 138-3 and he shared a second wicket stand worth 50 with Ethan Hawkes (36) Whitchurch were bowled out for 91, despite number 10 Tom Trinder’s 31 not out as they failed to chase down Alton III’s 145, after Kevin Ralph took 4-42.

Captain Kevin Light (90 not out) led by example as Hook and Newnham Basics II beat Ventnor II by six wickets in Division One.

The Isle of Wight side were bowled out for 213 as Kishore Parmar (3-29) was the chief wicket taker, well supported by Ollie May (2-36) and Daniel Moore (2-16) from four overs.

In reply, Light and Harry Warner (48) put on 80 for the second wicket and then Light along with Ben Allnutt (20) and then the captain and Moore (21 not out) finished off the job with an unbroken partnership worth 59 runs.

In Division Two, Old Basing won at Ellingham (128) by seven wickets, while Basingstoke II (166-9) lost by eight wickets at Bournemouth II. Mandeep Sharma top scored with 39.

Odiham and Greywell moved up to third in Division Three North after a seven wicket success at local rivals Hartley Wintney II.

The home side got off to good start as Rajeev Nair (34) and James Philpott (32) put on 71 for the first wicket.

However, at this point, Becky Hartnett (4-36) then removed the top four in the order as they slide to 87-4.

Tom Wiltshire (2-18) and Phil Thomas (3-33) saw Hartley bowled out for 190.

The Odiham reply was built around a fine knock from Kyran Munt.

He hit 77 which included 12 fours and one six and shared a second wicket partnership with Liam Schooling (35) worth 117 runs.

Both were out with the score on 139 and it was left to Thomas with an unbeaten 37 not out t steer Odiham to a winning score of 191-3.

Hook III had no game last weekend as South Newton have pulled out of the league.
