HOOK and Newnham Basics suffered a disappointing trip to Totton and Eling as not a ball was bowled in their Southern League Division One contest.
The visitors were hoping to bounce back to winning ways against the relegation threatened side, but the weather put paid to their chances.
Next up for Hook is a trip to May’s Bounty, for a derby showdown with Basingstoke and North Hants.
