JOE Oates hit an unbeaten 81 as Basingstoke and North Hants booked their place in the last four of the Don Lynch Aylward Cup, with a 10 wicket success over Finchampstead.

The Bountymen bowled them out for 111 and then thanks to Oates and Craig Williamson they cruised into the semi-finals.

Cove also made the final four, as they beat Hartley Wintney by 53 runs, as their 163-6 proved too much for the village side who reached 110-9.

The other two quarter-finals will see Dogmersfield take on Aldershot, while Yateley battle it out with Fleet.

They were winners of the only first round match, when they beat Eversley (142) by two wickets and with three balls to spare.
