BASINGSTOKE and North Hants got a first Home Counties league victory of the season at the sixth time of asking, winning by six wickets away at Reading on Saturday.
Fielding first, the Bountymen reduced their hosts to 233-3 from 59 overs, off-spinner Matt Thankachan taking 2-70.
The visitors then knocked off the required runs in 44.1 overs, captain Russell Droy making 89 and Dean Nurse guiding them home with an unbeaten 55.
