SILCHESTER took over at the top of Hampshire League Regional Division One North East, after a superb nine wicket win against Holybourne.

The visitors reached 153-9 from their 42 overs, as Shay Bradley (4-40), Shaun Bradley (2-32) and Kieran Brace (2-27) all took wickets.

Shaun Bradley (25) hit the only six of the reply and was the only man out, as Benjamin Bisson hit 14 fours on his way to an unbeaten 73 and Rob Jones finished not out on 50.

Overton II enjoyed a seven wicket success over Kingsclere, who they bowled out for 100.

Old Basing III (187-4) beat Bishop's Waltham by 33 runs.

Former leaders Ashford Hill suffered their first loss of the campaign, as they were bowled out for 140 chasing Donnington's 207-4.

Odiham III went down by six wickets to Easton and MW III, even if St John Cox scored 59 in Odiham's 132.
