ST MARY'S won a thriller by one wicket over visiting Hartley Wintney III over Division Two North East.

The visitors batted first and scored 176-9 as Ali Kanjee took 4-32.

St Mary’s looked a long way from victory at 137-9, but thanks to Mike Richards (51) and Keith Waldock (11) and an unbeaten last stand worth 42 they won the game.

This was despite Graham Seldon taking 4-24.

Ramsdell II enjoyed a five wicket success at home to Cove. The visitors scored 140-5 as Mike Andrews returned 3-27.

Mo Wahid led the Rams reply in a match winning 143-5.

Oakley II also opened with a win as they beat Holybourne II by 99 runs.

Dan Jones (88) and Darrell Dimond (58) helped Oakley to 225-9 and then Tom Barnes (6-24) did most of the damage as Holybourne were bowled out for 126.

Herriard also had a excellent win as they scored 203-5 and then bowled Oakmout out for 75.

AWE Tadley completed a clean sweep of wins as visiting Crown Taverners were bowled out for 121 and they won by six wickets.

Ashford Hill started their Division One North East campaign with a four wicket win over visiting Sherfield.

The visitors put into bat made 174-9 with Steve Dummer top scoring with 53 as Mark Williamson returned 3-20.

Hill replied with 175-6 as Grant Good scored 59 and Adi Nixon took 3-35.

Odiham and Greywell II won by exactly 100 runs as their 232-7 proved too much for Donnington.

Old Basing III (149-6) returned from Bentworth with a four wicket win.

Kingsclere cruised to a 194 run victory at Bishop’s Waltham.

The visitors scored 316-8 thanks to Ross Andrews (69), Mark Hirst (67) and Freddie Gee (60).

The home side were then bowled out for 122.

Overton II were bowled out for 70 and Silchester reached their target with three wickets down.
