Hampshire Cricket has announced this season's academy intake.

South Wilts all-rounder Miles Kantolinna, 16, Bashley all-rounder George Pardoe and St Cross off-spinner Zac Organ, 15, have been included in this year's seven-strong squad.

The quartet of Rory Hipwell, Tom Scriven, Chris Searle and Felix Organ (brother of fellow Academy player, Zac) return once again this season, after featuring for the side throughout the 2016 campaign.

Head of Player Development, Charlie Freeston said: “We are pleased to welcome George, Miles and Zac to the Hampshire Academy as part of this year's intake. They join four quality cricketers in Felix, Tom, Rory and Chris who were all involved last season.

“All of the guys have impressed throughout the winter and continue to work hard ahead of what we hope will be an excellent 2017 season.”

The Academy's first set of fixtures see them take on New Milton, St. Cross Symondians, Andover and South Wilts during the opening month of the season.

Fourteen further fixtures will follow with the 2017 campaign due to conclude at Bashley (Rydal) on September 2.

The Hampshire Academy finished ninth in last year's Southern Premier League, claiming three victories including an emphatic win over 2015 champions South Wilts.
