HOOK and Newnham Basics will be looking to keep the pressure on Southern League Division One leaders Sarisbury Athletic this weekend when they face a tricky trip to Bournemouth.

Hook are still three points behind their south coast rivals after their latest victory was a 69-run success over visiting third placed Andover.

Captain Matt Love will have take an unchanged side to Dorset as his side look to avenge a 40 run home defeat earlier in the campaign.

Bournemouth’s Jake Hurley was the star on that day scoring 80 in the visitor’s 220-8 and then took three wickets as Hook were bowled out for 180.

Love knows it will be no easy ride on Saturday and said: “Bournemouth is a tough place to go and I imagine it will be a spinning pitch. We did not play well in the first game this season so this is our chance to put it right.”

Hook dented Andover’s hopes of the title in the second against third clash at home on Saturday with 69-run win as Harry came top scored with 60.
