BASINGSTOKE and North Hants will be out for revenge this weekend when they entertain OTs and Romsey in the Southern League Division One.

The Bountymen lost earlier in the season by two wickets in the reverse fixture, after being bowled out for 125.

This has been bottom side OTs only win of their campaign , while the Bountymen are now sixth, after beating leaders Sarisbury Athletic last weekend.

The home side make three changes to side which won last weekend as Neal brothers Brad and Ash are unavailable and Richard Vinn returns to the second team.

In there place will come new signing former Hartley Wintney opener Will Phillips, Craig Williamson and Max Harsham.

Looking ahead to the game Stokes said: “Playing at home will be a real advantage. I want us to bat for 50 overs again like we did last week, which I think for us was the first time this season. We will always back ourselves to win, if we have a good total to defend.”

Last Saturday, summer signing Dan Belcher scored his maiden Southern League century, as Basingstoke beat Sarisbury by 94 runs, as they recorded their first league double of the season.

There was a match winning fifth wicket stand between Belcher (102) and Martyn James (46) worth 103 as the home side made 187-9 from their 50 overs.

The Sarisbury batsmen were soon in trouble at 20-4, as opening bowlers Stokes (2-23) and James (2-25) got amongst the wickets.

It was then left to Steve Bucksey with three wickets without conceding a run from 10 balls to wrap up the home side’s tail as they slumped from 93-7 to 93 all out.
