James Vince’s England Lions lost their series decider against Pakistan A in Dubai.

His Hampshire teammate Liam Dawson made 48 (64 balls, one four) in a fifth-wicket stand of 106 with Sam Billings (89).

But opener Vince was lbw for three within seven balls of choosing to bat first as the Lions were bowled out for 216 at the beginning of their final over.

Slow left-armer Dawson took 2-52 from his ten overs, but Pakistan A won by three wickets with 13 balls to spare to clinch the series 3-2, having trailed 2-0.

Vince still finished the series as the top scorer on either side (236 runs at 47.2) while Dawson was the leading all-rounder with 171 runs at 34.2 and eight wickets at 26 apiece.
