TOM Moore hit 91 and Colin Dwyer took five wickets as Herriard II moved up to third in Hampshire Cricket League Regional Division Four North with an 88-run win over visiting Crown Taverners II.

Moore top-scored with 91 as the hosts reached 193 before being bowled out, but an excellent spell from Dwyer, who took 5-18, helped Herriard to bowl their visitors out for 105 in reply. Vik Kumar also got in on the act, taking 3-32.

Ashford Hill II went down by 101 runs away at Hungerford II. Steve Wadsworth took 4-56 as the hosts reached 201, but Ashford Hill were dismissed for just 100 in reply.

Whitchurch II’s home game against local rivals Wherwell II was rained off.

Odiham and Greywell continue to lead Division One North after winning by 35 runs away at Ashford Hill.

Mark Williamson took 3-43 as the table-toppers were restricted to 182-8, but Ashford Hill could only reach 147, Ross McGaughrin taking 3-18 for Odiham.

Gareth Cloutt impressed with both bat and ball as Herriard beat hosts Kingsclere by four wickets.

Kingsclere batted first and while Mark Hirst hit 66, James Beckwith took 4-12 and Cloutt 3-17 as they were dismissed for 132. Cloutt then led the way with the bat, guiding his side to victory with an unbeaten 55.

Ramsdell claimed a 20-run win away at Longparish II. Gary Clarke ended unbeaten on 66 as the visitors made 185-7 before restricting Longparish to 165-8 in reply.

Struggling Old Basing lost by 86 runs at Tichbourne Park II. The hosts made 247-7 and while John Huntingdon hit 63 in the Basing reply, they were restricted to 161-8.

Sherfield-on-Loddon lost by 145 runs at Crown Taverners, being bowled out for 101 chasing 246-7. Basingstoke and North Hants IV’s trip to St Mary Bourne was called off.

Odiham and Greywell II edged out visiting East Woodhay II by just six runs in Regional Division Two North. Jean-Pierre Kustner made 50 as Odiham reached 173-9, while Robert Froome took 4-27 as the Woodhay reply ended on 167-9.

It was a bad day for all of the other north Hampshire sides in the division though.

Priam Survam took 3-34 as St Cross Symondians V made 222-7 and while Sid Sengupta hit 70, Basing were bowled out for 211.

Silchester looked in a good position at tea, having bowled hosts Over Wallop out for 107, with Nicole Beasley taking 4-24 and Lee Jones 3-21. However, they were then dismissed for just 40 to lose by 67 runs.

Hook and Newnham Basics IV were bowled out for 101 chasing hosts Ropley II’s total of 287-8, while Rotherwick ITW’s home game against Amport II was washed out.

Oakley II seemed to be title contenders in Division Three North East at one point, but they are now fourth after slumping to another defeat.

Hosts Fair Oak IV made 294-3 before dismissing Oakley for just 76, beating the north Hampshire side by 218 runs.

Kerry Hartnett took 4-50 as Odiham and Greywell III restricted visiting Holybourne II to 191-8, but the hosts were then bowled out for just 73.

Hartley Wintney III could only muster 105-8 at home to Compton and Chandlers Ford III, losing by nine wickets.

AWE Tadley II’s game against St Mary’s, Basingstoke and North Hants V’s home fixture against Aldershot IV and Overton III’s trip to Bishop’s Waltham III were all rained off.

Overton II went down by 169 runs away at Ampfield and North Baddesley II in Division Three North West, being bowled out for 94 chasing 263-5.

Odiham and Greywell claimed an eight-wicket win over visiting Cove in Women’s Division One.

Cove looked to have reached an imposing target, ending their innings on 171-1, but Odiham were not fazed and got over the line for the loss of just two wickets.
