SPENCER Champ and Jack Robson both scored half-centuries as Hook and Newnham Basics were crowned North Hampshire Cricket Association League Division One champions after beating Stratfield Turgis by seven runs.

Overton secured second spot after a 20-run victory over Basingstoke Hockey Club and Basingstoke and North Hants finished third after they won their final game against Odiham and Greywell by four wickets.

Chineham Barbarians Rugby Club won Division Two after a nine-wicket win over Royal Naval Sports as Patrick Labuschagne scored an unbeaten 42 and Marc Minikin was unbeaten on 31 in their winning total of 89-1.

Aldermaston Rugby took second spot ahead of AWE Tadley as both teams won their final games of the season.
