OLD Basing II beat hosts Sherfield-on-Loddon by one wicket at the end of an amazing Hampshire Cricket League Regional Division One game.

Chris Swift made 83 as Sherfield reached 222-9, but Angus Stronach took four wickets in a single over for Basing, finishing with figures of 4-64.

Derek Oliver (3-26) claimed a hat-trick in the Basing reply, but Arcot Venkat hit 89 and the visitors got over the line with nine wickets down.

Odiham and Greywell remain top of the table after thumping Ramsdell by 168 runs.

Kyran Munt hit 72 and 14-year-old Alex Brown made 67 as visiting Odiham reached 224-7, with Ally Croxford taking 3-38 for Ramsdell. However, the hosts found batting much harder, being dismissed for just 56, with Tom Wiltshire and Will Parton taking three wickets each.

Pete Newton took 5-25 as Ashford Hill bowled visiting Herriard out for just 69 before going on to win by eight wickets.

Garfield Coombs made 73 and Benjamin Bissoon 69 as Basingstoke and North Hants IV reached 244-6 at home to Chawton. The visitors were then bowled out for 207.

Kingsclere went down by 24 runs away at Medstead. Paul Gundry took 3-40, but the hosts reached 200-7, and while Mark Hirst hit 71 for Kingsclere, they were bowled out for 176.

Old Basing III remain fourth in Division Two North despite losing by 203 runs away at Michelmersh and Timsbury II. Having seen the hosts reach 268-5, Basing were skittled out for just 65.

It was better news for Odiham and Greywell II. Liam Schooling made 60 as they reached 174 at home to Over Wallop. Chris Turner then took 5-13 as the visitors were bowled out for 98.

Oliver Brawn took 4-33 as Hook and Newnham Basics IV bowled hosts OTs and Romsey IV out for 125, a total they chased down to win by eight wickets.

Graham Hooper starred with the ball as Rotherwick ITW beat hosts Rowledge III by two wickets. Hooper took 4-32 as Rowledge were bowled out for 127 and while Rotherwick lost eight wickets, they were able to get over the line.

Oakley II have been knocked off the top of the Division Three North East table after losing to title rivals Compton and Chandlers Ford III. Visiting Oakley were skittled out for 69 and the hosts went on to win by seven wickets.

Hartley Wintney III beat visiting Basingstoke and North Hants V by 27 runs.

Wilf Perry's unbeaten 88 and Jack Mitchell's 54 helped Hartley to 239-5, with Harley Bradley taking 3-44 for the visitors. Basingstoke's reply got off to a good start, Nick Firrel (74) and Alastair Case (61) putting on 140 for the first wicket, but they were restricted to 212-9.

St Mary's sit third after beating visiting Colden Common II by 96 runs. Veeru Pokala made an unbeaten 86 and Andy Tucker hit 74 as hosts St Mary's reached 258-4, while Dan Vickery took 3-42 as Colden Common were bowled out for 162.

Andy Gould and Mason Saunders claimed three victims each as Overton III bowled Liphook and Ripsley III out for 113, going on to win by four wickets.

Neil Merricks hit 93 for AWE Tadley II, but the hosts were bowled out for 200 chasing Bishop's Waltham III's total of 217-2.

Bottom side Odiham and Greywell III lost by eight wickets at home to Sparsholt III. Henry Schooling made 51 as Odiham reached 194-6, but they could only take two wickets in Sparsholt's successful reply.

Herriard II are second in Division Four North after beating Ashford Hill II by seven wickets. Sandeep Shahane took 5-16 as Ashford Hill were bowled out for 112, while Jake Tanner made 54 in Herriard's winning reply.

Whitchurch II were forced to forfeit their home game against Ramsdell II.
