MARC Minikin hit a 50 in 15 balls on his way to an excellent 106 for St Mary's, but it was all in vain as they lost by 15 runs to visiting Aldershot IV in Hampshire League Regional Division Three North East.

The visitors batted first and posted 222-7 and despite a century stand between Minikin and Amit Sapkal (37) they were all out for 207.

Basingstoke and North Hants V are the leaders in the division after an 11-run win over St Cross VI as George Metzger (42) helped them to 171 and then the home side were bowled out for 160.

Oakley II are second after 17-run win at Holybourne who slumped from 75-2 to 113 all out as Alex Brundle took four wickets.

Michel Wood (35) had earlier top scored in what turned out to be a winning total of 130.

Overton II won at AWE Tadley (157-9) by eight wickets, thanks to an unbeaten 65 from Tony Glass and Simon Trott (58) as they reached 158-2.

Hartley Wintney II were bowled out for 75 in a six wicket loss to Sparsholt III.

Matthew Hall (59) and John Cox (54) could not stop Odiham and Greywell III losing to Bishop Waltham III by 44 runs, as they were all out for 204. Kerry Hartnett (3-38) was the pick of the Odiham bowlers.

Khaquan Zafr hit an unbeaten 114 as Ashford Hill posted 205-5, which proved enough as Donnington were bowled out for 171 in Division One North.

Basingstoke IVs won a thriller against Old Basing II, as an unbeaten 46 from 16-year-old Jake Finchen batting at number 10, helped them to a one wicket win.

Earlier, in the Bountymen's innings Tom Hartgill hit 63 in their total of 196-9. Arcot Venkat (50) top scored for Basing (194-7).

Dave Simpson scored an unbeaten 64 which helped Ramsdell (125-3) to a seven wicket win over Sherfield (123).

Herriard were bowled out for 133 as they lost at Medstead by 150 runs. A young Kingsclere side lost by 170-runs at St Mary Bourne as they made 91, after Paul Gundry (3-51) had been their leading wicket taker.

Phil Thomas batting at number nine made 46, but Odiham were all out for 165, as they chased Tichbourne Park IIs (207-8).

Hook and Newnham Basics IV won by 52-runs in Division Two North at Twyford, as Andy Hook (5-24) help bowl the home side out for 123, as they tried to chase down the visitors 175, in which Dan Warnes top scored with 57.

An unbeaten 89 from Rotherwick ITW opener Paul Buckingham, helped his side to a three wicket win at Odiham, after Jason Smee took 3-38.

Earlier in the contest, Odiham posted 225-2, thanks to Ed Hemings (98), Liam Stalling (50 not out) and Dave Hiscock (45).

Old Basing III (126-8) beat Penton (123) by two wickets, while Silchester lost by 15 runs at Stokbridge after the home side made 170 as Shaun Bradley took 4-26 and then Kieran Bryce hit an unbeaten 74 in visitors 155-9.

Overton III (189-9) lost by five wickets in Regional Three North West, as home side Steeple Langford II got home despite Andy Gould's 3-50.

Regional Division Four leaders Ramsdell II ended Crown Taverners 100 per cent start to the season as they beat them by 100 runs after they were bowled out for 78.

Andy Wisden hit an unbeaten 117 and Mark Ridley 51 as Ashford Hill reached 218-3, which proved too much for Aldershot V who were all out for 171.

Whitchurch II completed a clean sweep of wins for north Hampshire sides in this division, as they won by 15 runs over Hungerford II even after being bowled out for 96.
