OAKLEY are enjoying an exceptional season in Hampshire Cricket League Regional Division One North, with a 102-run victory over hosts Farley extending their 100 per cent record to eight games.

Adam Robinson is in top form for the Oaks and he hit 102 as the visitors made 224-7.

Mark Potter then took 5-19 as Farley were dismissed for 122 and Oakley moved back to the top of the table.

Fellow high-fliers Ashford Hill suffered a setback, losing by five wickets away at Herriard after being bowled out for 130. Alex Harding made 60 in the hosts’ winning reply.

Odiham and Greywell showed no mercy towards struggling Old Basing II, beating their visitors by 103 runs. Tom Bowden top-scored with an unbeaten 62, while Jean-Pierre Kustner hit 57 as the hosts reached 192-6, while Basing were dismissed for just 89.

Sherfield-on-Loddon and Kingsclere also suffered heavy defeats on the road. Sherfield were beaten by 93 runs at Bentworth, being restricted to 205-6 chasing 298-8, while Kingsclere lost by nine wickets at Over Wallop, failing to defend their all-out total of 121.

Basingstoke and North Hants IV beat hosts Littleton and West Hill II by four wickets after restricting the home side to 140-7, while Ramsdell’s home game against St Mary Bourne was rained off.

Odiham and Greywell II sit second in Division Two North after beating Langley Manor II by 32 runs. Thomas Spreadbrough made 57 as Odiham were bowled out for 181, but Charlie Parish took 6-39 as the home side were dismissed for 149 in reply.

A tough season for St Mary’s continued as they went down by 29 runs at OTs and Romsey IV, being restricted to 201-9 chasing the home side’s 230-5.

Rotherwick ITW lost by 93 runs at home to Twyford, being bowled out for 98 chasing 191-5.

Silchester sit third in Division Three North East after an 86-run victory over Hartley Wintney III.

Shaun Bradley made 94 as Silchester reached 204-9, with Jonathan Rowe taking 3-36 for Hartley, but an exceptional spell of bowling from Kevin Henwood, who took 6-53, won the game for Silchester as the hosts were dismissed for 118.

Neil Butler did a similar job for Overton II, taking 5-25 as Ramsdell II were bowled out for 102 chasing the hosts’ total of 197-6.

Overton III created an upset by beating visiting IBM Hursley II. Hursley made 192-6 but Tony Glass’ unbeaten knock of 77 saw Overton home for a six-wicket victory.

Basingstoke and North Hants V claimed a narrow victory over Aldershot IV, making 155-9 before bowling their visitors out for 149 to win by six runs.

Hook and Newnham Basics IV beat hosts Colden Common II by six wickets, chasing down their all-out total of 133, while bottom side Herriard II went down by eight wickets at Holybourne II after being bowled out for just 74.

Old Basing III’s game against Compton and Chandler’s Ford III was rained off, as were most games in Division Four North East.

Ashford Hill II did manage to play their game against visiting Longparish III but lost by six wickets, failing to defend 157-6.

Odiham and Greywell Ladies suffered a 141-run defeat at the hands of hosts Aldershot in Women’s Division One.

Lara Barrett, Siobhan Merriman and Rebecca Merriman took a wicket each as Aldershot made 257-4, while Barrett top-scored with 46 as the visitors were restricted to 116-8 in reply.

Hartley Wintney were without a game in Division Two after visitors Tichbourne Park conceded.
