SAM Brooks picked up an assist on every single one of the Basingstoke under-18 Bison's goals, as they drew 5-5 with the visiting Chelmsford Academy.

Line mates Oscar Evans with a hat-trick and Cameron Buckle with a brace were the men on target for the Herd.

The home raced into a 2-0 lead by 11:10 as Buckle scored twice.

Evans then extended the lead to 3-0, before the Essex side scored two quick goals to make it 3-2 after 27 minutes.

Evans completed his hat-trick by the second buzzer for a 5-2 lead.

The final session saw the visitors score three unanswered goals as they game ended all square.

This weekend their is a mega feast of ice hockey at Basingstoke with four teams in action.

On Saturday, the under-11 Bison entertain Guildford starting at 4.30pm and then from 6.30pm, the under-15s take on Milton Keynes.

On Sunday evening, the league leaders the under-13 Bison are in action against Haringey which starts at 4.30pm.

Then after this their is a top of the table clash as South Division One leaders the Basingstoke Bison Ladies take on Streatham with the action from 6.15pm.
