OSCAR Evans will make his Basingstoke Bison debut on Saturday, as the Herd take on the Cardiff Fire.
Evans is the latest young forward, to be called up to the senior team and last weekend scored for both the under-18 Bison and Buffalo.
The Herd will be looking to continue their perfect start to their league campaign, in what is a double header of action with the Welsh side.
The first game on Saturday starts at 6.30pm, with the return in Wales on Sunday (6pm).
Included in the Cardiff line-up is former Herd captain Nicky Chinn and between the pipes will be Basingstoke-born and ex Buffalo shot stopper Jordan Lawday.
Looking ahead to the weekend games, Bison head coach Doug Sheppard said: “We have to make sure we play as well as we can, otherwise we will end up losing.
"Oscar will be making his debut and like all their young players on the team he will get an opportunity to play.”
Last Sunday, the Bison came back from 3-0 down to win 4-3 at Streatham.
After the game Sheppard said: “We have a learn a lesson from this game and make sure it does not happen again.”
