THE Basingstoke Bison will be looking to be sent to Coventry the venue for the play-offs finals next weekend.

They know one more point will secure their place in the final four after they won in Hull 4-2 last night, a side they also beat 7-0 in their opening game of the series.

On Saturday night (6.30pm), the Bison have a mouth-watering home game clash against the Milton Keynes Lightning in what is the Herd's final home game of the season.

MK beat the Bison 4-3 last weekend in the away fixture, which the home side will be out to avenge.

On Sunday evening, the Herd have their final play-off group game, when they travel to the Link Centre, to face the Swindon Wildcats, who they beat 3-1 last Sunday on home ice.

As the moment MK lead the way in Group B with eight points, the Bison have six and Swindon are on two.

The Bison are expected to be without forward Grant Rounding for the three games, after he took a hit to the head from Frankie Bakrlik, in the game at MK last Saturday.

Looking ahead to the club's biggest games of the season head coach Doug Sheppard said: "We just have one thing on our minds at the moment and that is make the finals in Coventry.

"We are taking each game one at a time. It is too easy to look ahead and then lose your focus.

"We know every game is going to be tough, but after three games we have put ourselves in a good place to qualify."

In group A, Guildford lead the way with seven points, ahead of Telford on six and Peterborough on four.
